Below is the recommended lane closure policy for District One as discussed in the last Design/Construction Managers Meeting. If you concur with the wording then we will add this to the Policies/Practices Notebook.
Policy Statement:
The following note shall be included under the heading “LANE CLOSURE RESTRICTIONS” in the traffic control plan notes of all plan sets for projects longer than one mile in length:
Maximum length of lane closure shall be one mile plus transitions.
The District Construction Office will review each project for the appropriateness of this note and it shall be removed if they request this as one of their review comments.
